On September 7, 1915 Johnny Gruelle received a patent for Raggedy Ann, and thus, she was born. My grandparents have a set of Raggedy Ann books that I used to read every time I went to their house, no matter how many times I’d read the stories before. I had a video at home that I watched until it was worn out. Some kids favored Mickey Mouse or the Care Bears, but me…I was true to my name ;)
