evening entertainment

“Oh, I went to an opera last night. Porgy & Bess. It was sung in english. I much prefer Italian operas because I like to space out and not pay attention or make up my own words. But is was a fun night out anyway.”

So it’s not really entertainment, but I’ve been cleaning some places in my room and found this letter, in its envelope, on top of my dresser. Why I put it there to begin with, I can’t remember (it was delivered to me when I still lived in SC…which was before NC…before Philly). Anyway, I love all the silliness and delight of each sentence contained in it. Also, the word “lexicon” was used. Ironically enough, I think I might be hanging out with the author of this quoted letter in the coming week, after many months of our separate travels and busy lives. Can’t wait to see him!
